About the role

💼 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 : Legal Officer

💠 𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒 :

【~】✪ Attorney at Law and Notary Public

【~】✪ Bachelor of Law (LLB) from a recognized university – added qualification

【~】✪ Minimum 2 years’ experience with authority to function as Notary in Sinhala and English Colombo Judicial Zone

【~】✪ Sound knowledge of legal framework and procedures, including labor law legislation

【~】✪ Excellent command of English (verbal & written)

【~】✪ LLB or LLM is an added qualification

【~】✪ Must be available to work 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM on weekdays

💠 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒 :

【~】✪ Drafting, reviewing & registering legal contracts, corporate agreements, security documents, LODs, and letters

【~】✪ Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and industry regulations

【~】✪ Liaise with external regulatory bodies, legal consultants, and government authorities

【~】✪ Support litigation matters and maintain proper legal records

【~】✪ Drafting and attesting deeds of lease and other notarial documents

【~】✪ Represent the company in courts

【~】✪ Provide legal advice to management to ensure compliance with law and regulations
